This site has generated much excitement in Mayfield and surrounding areas, largely due to the appeal of the store's design. The sales for each of the businesses operating at this location have exceeded all expectations. The residents of this area eagerly await further develop and actively welcome new businesses. Future development plans include a bank, additional retail/office space, and lodge-style accommodations.
Mayfield is known locally as the "Gateway to the Adirondacks" and is famous for the Great Sacandaga Lake. The beautiful region is nestled between the Erie Canal of the Mohawk Valley, the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, Saratoga and Albany to our east and Cooperstown to our west. Of Fulton County's 44 lakes, the Great Sacandaga is the largest and has become one of the greatest tourism attractions in the area for every season of the year. Throughout the summer, fishermen, boaters, swimmers, and hikers frequent the area. In the winter, people travel here for snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing, and ice fishing.
The site is located on Interstate 30 in the Village of Mayfield. The average daily traffic count is just under 12,000 cars. In addition, this site has already been approved for a 5,000 and a 10,000 square foot commercial building.
